VISAS

       At present upon request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the visa to Russia can not be received without an appropriate visa support through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. In order to claim a visa your passport should be valid at least within 6 (six) months after the planned return from Moscow.
  It is obligatory to hand in the following documents to the visa department of the Organizing Committee:
- list of delegation members with their dates of birthday, sex, passport numbers and passport validity periods and the city of receiving a visa (the city where the Consulate of the Russian Federation is situated).

  All the coming participants of the competitions pay for the registration of the visa.
  LOC will send a personal invitation to each federation which has sent the preliminary application for the participation and has asked for a visa (2 months before the competition). In order to receive visas upon request of the Federations and the Family-members of IAAF  LOC will send them an official invitation with names and passport data (if the Federations have given them).
  After receiving the foregoing documents we registrate official invitations (for each person or team) and send them by fax. In order to avoid possible delays LOC asks for exact e-mails and fax numbers.
  Turning to the Russian Consulate, the applicant must give all his personal documents (the passport, photographs, forms of the consulate, the payment of consular dues and fees, etc.) and bring the foregoing invitation. The information and the list of the documents required by the consulate can be received in the consulate or on the web-site of the Embassy.
  If there is no Russian Consulate in your country, you should connect with the Organizing Committee and Visa Department will give you the list of the nearest countries where the Russian Consulate is situated. If the applicant has chosen the country with the Russian Consulate he must inform the Organizing Committee.
  In order to receive visas upon request of the Federations and the Family-members of IAAF LOC will send them an official invitation with the name and passport data (if the Federations have given them). LOC will connect with the executive authorities of country-members in order to send an official letter to each Embassy. In this letter LOC will confirm the date of the competition and inform that the list of team members should be confirmed 10 days before the competition starts. The Embassy must render assistance in the registration of visas. The Visa Department of LOC is ready to render any assistance concerning the questions of visa support.
